Youth Impact HUB Oakland Launch Party!

Since early 2013, Youth SEED and United Roots have been collaborating with Impact HUB Oakland to create the first Youth HUB program in the world.  After investing untold amounts of blood, sweat and tears we are proud to announce the first cohort of the Youth HUB Fellowship program! Beginning in January, 20 young leaders will participate in one full year of social enterprise training, with access to co-working space, mentorship, and seed funding.  Join us in celebrating this historic launch, in conjunction with Impact HUB Oakland's first annual holiday party.  Speakers include Michael Bush, Fred Blackwell and special guest Van Jones.

Date/Time: December 17: 6:30pm - 8pm (Followed by Impact HUB Oakland Holiday Party)

Location: 2323 Broadway in Oakland.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Can't attend the event, but want to support local youth?  Donate to Youth SEED, or join AlterEco, Guayaki, Numi Tea and Nutiva by becoming a business partner of the Youth HUB Fellowship!

Community Grows Workshop

On November 20, Youth SEED facilitated an Intro to Social Enterprise workshop for young leaders at Community Grows in the BEETS program (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens). After touring their garden near John Muir Elementary School, the BEETS crew learned about social enterprise as a tool to transform their community. Youth Made Holiday Craft Fair

Our third event in the Beloved Community Youth HUB Oakland event series, organized by Youth SEED and United Roots, was part of "The Prosperity Movement", a collaboration with WolfHawkJaguar, isoKe custom designs and DetermiNation Media Group.  Local youth and young adult artisans sold t-shirts, CD's, jewelry, posters, stickers, food and much more, while the audience enjoyed live performances by local artists and musicians.

Youth SEED is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives.
